| A MEDITATIVE PATH TO
TRANQUILLITY AND INSIGHT (public talks) February 7, 1998 4 tapes The entire Buddhist path of meditation can be subsumed under the techniques of tranquillity and insight. The path of tranquillity stabilises the mind from emotional turmoil whereas meditation of insight allows the practitioner to overcome conceptual confusion and provide insight into the nature of the mind. This course provides the ground to develop proper understanding and appreciation of meditation practice in Buddhism. | ||

| RENUNCIATION AND SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY (lectures) Buddhist Summer School '89 January 3 tapes Many people feel perplexed when they are expected to renounce the samsaric condition. Taken at face value, this seems to mean abandoning social responsibility while at the same time being engaged in the practice of compassion.
