Biodata:

Raised by his father, a renowned doctor of the Ladakh region, Dr. Amchi belongs in a long family lineage of Tibetan medicine. Under his father's tutelage he has trained at an early age in all medical tantra, pulse diagnosis and herbal identification with great attention to detail. L
ater, as a young man, Dr. Amchi served as a doctor in residence for various local communities in the mountainous regions of northern India. He has also taken teachings from great Kagyu teachers in both India and Bhutan.

Dr. Amchi has co-ordinated a Tibetan medical clinic in Manali for the past 21 years where his healing work had also become of increasing benefit to visiting Western tourists. Each year he makes a special journey to the region of Ladakh to harvest and prepare the finest quality medicines. Dr. Amchi provides consultation during the day while he is in Melbourne.
