Traleg Rinpoche

Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche Traleg Rinpoche
Twenty Years In Australia

Tribute by Felicity Lodro | Tribute by Peter Andelic

November 2000 marked the 20th anniversary of Traleg Rinpoche's arrival in Australia - an important celebration for all Rinpoche's students as we reflect on those years and how Rinpoche has enriched our lives.

Traleg Rinpoche is a highly recognised lama in the Karma Kagyu tradition. His extensive traditional training as his commitment to preserving the authenticity of the teachings, together with his mastery of the English language, knowledge of Western philosophy and psychology, and his love of Australia and its people provides a unique opportunity for ordinary Australians, like myself, to have access to some of the most profound and transforming teachings and meditational practices within the Buddhist tradition.

Rinpoche's decision all those years ago to make Melbourne Australia his home is a decision that continues to be treasured and deeply appreciated by all his Australian students.

I can say with full confidence that I speak for all Rinpoche's students in Australia and around the world when I say, 'Thank you'.

Thank you Rinpoche for your undying commitment to the Buddhist vision of a world free of suffering. Thank you for your tireless generosity in sharing your insights into the nature of reality, and for skillfully revealing the paths and practices that lead to the cessation of suffering and the awakening of inner freedom.

Rinpoche, congratulations on a fruitful and breath-taking twenty years in Australia. I look forward in joyous anticipation to your future activities and I pray that you will enjoy a long, healthy and abundant life.
